orienteering

Orienteering festivals provide an ideal opportunity for children from all key stages to have an introduction to the sport of orienteering with experienced and qualified coaches.
Orienteering can contribute to many areas of the National Curriculum especially maths (shape, space and measures) geography (skills) and PE (outdoor and adventurous activities).

Orienteering Festivals take place at the following locations twice a term:
- Bestwood Country Park
- Brackenhurst Environmental Education Centre
- Perlethorpe Environmental Education Centre
- Sherwood Pines Country Park
- Thieves Wood
- Wollaton Park

These festivals are open to all schools on a first come first serve basis.
