Nottingham Music School has been in existence for over 30 years under various names.

The new millennium saw us more centrally located in the City, and more easily accessible to a greater number of young people wanting to make music in Nottingham. Our partnership with Ellis Guilford School and Sports College allowed us to expand into new spaces, new activities but continue with the same quality and excellence. Our strength is in the vigour and vitality of the music school's members and the commitment and expertise of our tutorial staff. We are committed to creating more young musicians in Nottingham in as wide a range of musical spheres as is possible. The Music School plays a major role in the LEA's policy to develop singing and musical literacy at an early age as well as encourage our pupils to take up learning on an instrument. Our next 3 year plan is working on more children at Key Stage 2 learning a musical instrument and ensuring access to playing opportunities with other young people across the city. We stand by our pledge of high quality in all that we do at Nottingham Music School as well as actively encouraging a lifelong enjoyment in music making.

The government's initiative in establishing a Music Standards Fund has guaranteed the future of the Music School for some time to come and everyone will find a warm welcome whether as a visitor, member, parent or friend.

We look forward to seeing you there!
